My friends,
After a person realizes and confesses (verbally admits) that he is a sinner, he is expected to repent.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Yahusha haMashiach for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit).
Repent:
to change one's mind, i.e. to repent
to change one's mind for better,
heartily to amend with abhorrence of one's past sins
Then, from the day that a person "repents", he is expected to stop "sinning" (that is what it means to truly "repent"). That is why the Messiah repeatedly said, "go and sin no more."
So what is "sin?
1John 3:4
Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
So if a person truly repents, according to the definition of "repent", as listed above, one would "heartily amend with abhorrence of one's past sins".
And we just learned what "sin" is: "sin is lawlessness". So we clearly see here that one would "heartily amend with abohorrence of one's past "lawlessness".
Now it is true that the 10 commandments come from the Law, but there are other parts of the Law (Torah) also, and anyone who truly repents, will turn from sin! And what is sin again?
1John 3:4
Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
So whoever loves Heavenly Father, will truly repent (turn from violating Torah). And if one truly repents, they will surely strive to please Heavenly Father, just as Messiah did. For who could ever say "I am sorry" and yet not change the actions that led to the wrong in the first place? Such a thing would not be true repentance at all!
Now some may still insist that we need only to obey the 10 commandments. But what does Messiah say? Well, Messiah quoted a different part of The Law (Torah) when in Matt 4:4 when He said:
Matt. 4:4
"It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceeds from the mouth of YHWH.' "
Messiah quoted that from:
Deut. 8:3
.......but man lives by EVERY word that proceeds from the mouth of YHWH.
and Messiah quoted still another part of Torah when questioned:
Matt. 22:36-37
36 "Rabbi, which of the commandments in the Torah is the most important?" 37 He told him, "`You are to love YHWH your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.' 38 This is the greatest and most important command.
He was quoting:
Deut. 6:5
5 and you are to love YHWH your Elohim with all your heart, all your being and all your resources.
So my friends, whoever desires to live should follow Messiah's advice. Messiah Himself said many times, "follow me". And what did Messiah both do and also say? He loved Father YHWH with all His heart, obeyed Torah and commanded others to "follow Him" by doing the same! So shouldn't we do the same and "follow" Messiah as commanded? Indeed, we should "follow" Him by doing what He did; loving YHWH and thus obeying EVERY WORD OF YHWH!
Matt 22:37
.......love YHWH your Elohim with all your heart!
And here's how we love YHWH our Elohim with all your heart:
By obeying His Torah!
1 John 5
2 ....... When we love YHWH, we also do what he commands. 3 For loving YHWH means obeying his commands.
My friend, it's so simple that a child could understand it! Now friends, don't let anyone deceive you! The road is narrow and FEW ever find it. Beware my friends, Christianity has nullified Father YHWH's Law and deemed it "Old" and "No longer required". My friends, this is not right to do! This teaches against what Messiah taught! This doctrine of "Anti-Torah" is evil to the core! For I tell you the truth, whoever teaches against Torah is teaching the opposite of what Messiah Himself taught, for He was "Torah Made Flesh" (John 1:14)! Beware of any such a person who teaches against Torah, for such is an Anti-Messiah!
Daniel 7:25
He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, and shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to CHANGE the APPOINTED TIMES and THE LAW.
The appointed times can be found in Leviticus 23:1-40 and Also Exodus 20:8-11. (You will notice that after each of these "appointed times" Scripture specifically states that these are "perpetual" commandments. Perpetual means "everlasting".
The Law (Torah) was changed by Christianity in approximately 325 A.D. under Emperor Constantine. It was deemed "Jewish" and "Old" and "No longer required". You can read this in your personal encyclopedia or just google "Constantine". I also have a link to a free book on my main website (half way down the article on the right side).
My friends, I urge you all, please do not put your trust in man! Trust in YHWH's Words (Torah) and if your trusting in Him is truthful, it will surely lead to your obediance of His Words (Torah)!
John 15
5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit.
If you have any questions, please contact me. I will be glad to steer you in the correct direction. The correct direction always leads to YHWH's Torah. For I tell you that all of the New "Testament", and all of the Pophets and all of the "Poetic Writings", truly guide us to YHWH's Torah!
Ecclesiastes 12:12-13
12 In addition, my son, take heed: one can write many books - there's no end to it; and one can study so much that it wearies the flesh. 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear YHWH and keep all of His Torah! For this is the entire duty of mankind.
Shalom my friend!
